The Full Story
Sam and Ashley
Sam and Ashley both grew up in small, rural communities on opposite sides of Missouri, where strong family bonds and simple joys shaped who they are today. Even though their families are spread across the miles, they remain deeply connected — and that sense of closeness and support has always been at the heart of their lives.
Their story began in college in 2015, and just two years later, they made the leap to Minnesota, where they’ve built a warm, welcoming life together. In 2019, they tied the knot and celebrated their new chapter with a trip to Europe — the first of many adventures they dream of sharing with their future child.

Home for Sam and Ashley is full of love, laughter, and homegrown goodness. They spend sunny afternoons in their backyard garden, growing fresh fruits and vegetables, and using their harvest to make homemade sauces, pickles, and family meals. Ashley especially enjoys cooking nourishing dishes from scratch, often inspired by what’s growing in the garden that week.

They also love being active outdoors — whether it’s playing on a local softball team, hiking at nearby parks with their two dogs, or escaping into nature for a weekend of camping (a treasured tradition from both of their childhoods).
Our Home & Community
We live in a warm, family-friendly neighborhood in a suburb of Minneapolis, where kids ride bikes and neighbors greet each other by name. Our home is cozy and inviting, with a big backyard perfect for gardening, playing catch, or setting up a tent for backyard camping adventures. Our local schools are excellent, and we're surrounded by a supportive network of friends who feel like family - many of whom have children of their own! Our community celebrates diversity and offers tons of opportunities for kids to grow, learn, and thrive.

Inside our home, you'll find a lot of love, laughter, home-cooked meals, and space to just be yourself. We believe that a child should always feel safe, heard, and valued - and that's exactly what we've created here.
Our Values & Parenting Hopes
As parents, we will nurture curiosity, creativity, and kindness. We believe in leading with love, listening deeply, and creating a home where a child can grow into their fullest, truest self.

We'll teach by example - showing the importance of respect, hard work, and empathy. We'll celebrate birthdays with homemade cakes, cheer at baseball games (even if they're just in the backyard), and snuggle up with books before bedtime. We'll explore the world together, from local parks to faraway places, teaching our child to appreciate different cultures, perspectives, and experiences.

Most of all, we'll be there - every step of the way. For the scraped knees, the big questions, the joyful wins, and the tough moments. We'll show up, always, with love that never wavers.
